BRSC Scorecast Football League

2nd March 2010

Congratulations first of all to both Louis Moore and Diane Curtis for correctly picking both Manchester Utd and Aston Villa as Carling Cup finalists, each gaining a welcome 20 point boost at a crucial time in the season. As a result Louis shot up from 15th place to 2nd, just behind Dad, an amazing leap for a little chap! Diane also shot up the league into 6th place, equal on points with Barrie Williams and Luke White. Luke was one five to pick up 10 points for getting one of the Carling Cup finalists, others being Nick White, John Pitts, Andy Kent and table topping Adrian Moore, who now holds a commanding 14 point lead.

The re-arranged game between Rochdale and Rotherham saw no fewer than eleven scorecasters picking up three points apiece for the home win, although nobody managed to bag the full five points for predicting that it would be a 4-0 win. It was another of those weeks that favoured the bottom half of the table, or most of it anyway.

Thanks to Spurs' progress into the F.A. Cup quarter-finals, we take a break from the action this week-end and look out for the date of their Premiership fixture at Manchester City, which would have been our feature match. Instead, its Portsmouth and Birmingham providing the next match on Tuesday 9th March, followed by Brentford against MK Dons the following Saturday.
