Bere’s long suffering manager has had a great season this year. Rumour has it that he has even been seen smiling a couple of times. After many years of choosing the team on the basis of who happens to turn up on a Sunday, Nick has had the luxury of a fairly settled side. Finally, a tactical brain honed by years of watching Fergie at work (Sarah, that is) was given free rein. An inspired switch to a 3-5-2 formation against Summers Electrical showed him what Bere was capable of and there was no looking back from there. Kept on his toes by some unfortunate injuries and work commitments, Nick still had to shuffle his pack now and again. But most of the time Nick has only had to sit back, relax and enjoy the feast of football, as you can see by the grey hair!
