Junior Football

Bere Regis Colts Under 15 Training will begin on Thursday evening 24th July 2008 at 7.00pm for 7.30pm (for at least an hour) at Bere Regis Recreational Ground.

We have two teams:

Youth football - U15’s (Year 10, or 9, in September); Manager Graham Loveless (07756359077)

Mini soccer – U10’s (Year 5, or 4, in September); Manager Luke White (07889442695)

If you have any children interested in playing then please contact the respective manager.

Also, we are always on the lookout for coaches or helpers for training, either on Saturday mornings or on some weekday evenings. Alternatively, if you wish to get involved in this youth initiative there are always roles available on the Committee is areas such as fundraising or media secretary.

Dunwood Manor Golf Club Friday 27th June – Landlords Cup

 June became a very special month for ROGS as Darren Parker a new member this year got the first hole in one in the history of the society and July is our tenth anniversary of the ROGS being formed.  It would be good if we didn’t have to wait so long for the next one, although I’m not sure Darren would want another as it cost him dearly, still back to the results of the rest of us mere mortals.

Shaun Brady Knockout Competition 2008 - Semi Finals

Semi Final draw was made at Dunwood Manor on Friday 27th June 2008. The Semi Final Matchplay draw was:
 
        Roger Johns V John Spurdle
 
        Darren Parker V Russel [Bobber] White
 
 
We already have one result from the above. Roger Johns beat John Spurdle 2 and 1 at Wareham on Thursday 3rd July. Roger Johns, I believe, has now reached the Final three years running!

Cricket 2008  

BRCC Annual Golf Day progressing well, being held on 19th September 2008 at Wareham GC.  Teams of four welcome and letters/invites have been sent.

JUNIOR TENNIS COACHING

One of the Sports Club trustees, Mr Ian Ventham, has kindly offered to make his newly refurbished tennis courts at Shitterton farmhouse available for coaching tennis to the Bere Regis youngsters. If there are any adults interested in running a junior tennis club in the spring/summer could you please contact Darren Spivey on 471908 for further details.
